My work concentrates on human interaction such as our behaviour
in relation to the environment.
As an artist I consider myself an educator, a sociologist and an anthropologist.
The main themes are centred around preservation, waste, consumption, objectification
and
comodification.
In observing the interactions of individuals, I question the value of things.
We live in a consumer society, a culture where the things that we value are only of virtual
value. Therefore some things considered priceless are at the same time discardable, for example,
trees that are
cut down to make paper and other things.
I mainly work with materials or objects that have been discarded and also video imaging. I am
attempting to create an awareness about preservation and value through my work and other
educational projects.
